You could probably consider me in the "Junior Assistant Expert" category, and one of the first things I do when I put up a new FreeBSD box is install pine/pico. I use it almost exclusively for everything other than sendmail stuff, and I know vi backwards and forwards. (For some reason sendmail config/alias files and pico don't get along, I'm not sure why.) My point is, if you're happy, be happy. I personally don't like ee because if I'm going to go vi I'd rather go all the way. However it's a good intro to vi, which you really should learn if you intend to do unix work in the real world since it's the only thing you're guaranteed to find wherever you go. Other than that, use what works for you and tell the others to bugger off. :) Doug -- *** Chief Operations Officer, DALnet IRC network *** *** Proud operator, designer and maintainer of the world's largest *** Internet Relay Chat server. 5,328 clients and still growing. *** Try spider.dal.net on ports 6662-4 (Powered by FreeBSD) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
