Since it errored out so quickly I just ran make install and reinstalled
my previous world..

Everything is ok now,  I still do not know what caused the error to
occur.  but it is gone now..

If anyone knows what caused the error, please let me know so I can
prevent it from happening again (at this point I am pretty sure it is
user error)
