Redelegate? Not sure what /you/ mean with it, but for me this is
just a quick change in the nameservers for the .com.au/.com/whatever
domain.

There is only one way to do this correct and that is having both
the IP subnets for a short time in which you:

- configure your new subnet.
- configure your new DNS server on the new subnet.
- make sure the new DNS server is running properly.
- change the configuration in the nameservers for the .com.au/.com/whatever
  domains.
- check that your new DNS servers are running properly, that all
your requests are coming through there.
- check that your old DNS servers are not being used anymore
- turn the old DNS servers off
- get rid of the old subnet.

Somewhere in the story, set the TTL of your data back to a short
time (i.e. 5 minutes), so that you won't be stuck with stuff in
caches. And afterwards, set it back to reasonable times again.

Moving a DNS server from one subnet to another one is not something
which can be done very easily, because it's a basic infrastructure
change which will need to work before you can move the rest of the
machines to the new subnet.
