DISCLAIMER: i have NO IDEA if this is the best (or even a good) solution, but it worked for me, that's all. :) I had a similar problem a while back ( don't remember what I was trying to do ) with libxpg4.so.N and I found this in your appendix: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 12 Jan 16 15:23 libxpg4.so -> libxpg4.so.3 -r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 2748 Nov 20 03:59 libxpg4.so.3 what I did was to 'ln -s libxpg4.so.3 libxpg4.so.4' and everything worked fine. -- This is my ~/.signature file.
