On my box it plays VCDs, large AVIs, MPEGs, etc. full speed even as pan eats my Athlon 1.2 for breakfast and with a port building in the background (aviplay couldn't hack it with no CPU competition). And full-screen @ full-frame rate = no problem with Xv on my Matrox G450! So long vlc, aviplay, xine, and friends.
