Ah, but those texts have been written: "Unix for Dummies," "Mastering Unix," etc. FreeBSD is more Unix than Linux - that's why the Linux crowd has to have all of these "special" books! FreeBSD == Unix Linux == Unix like Even WinNT can be made Unix like, as far as the commands go - I use the vi that comes with the POSIX kit in the WinNT Workstation Resource Kit.
