Dear Supporters! Having used Linux for a time I now wanted to try out FreeBSD. Building my kernel like explained in the FreeBSD-Handbook I received the following error message: ../../kern/vfs_conf.c:69:warning:'cdrom_rootdevnames' defined but not used Looking up in the /dev-directory I found the acd0a, acd0c, acd1a and acd1c device-nodes made, also the respective entries for racd0a etc. and scd0a etc. I'll send you my configuration and a description of my hyardware with this message. Thanks for your aid . Yours sincerely Frank Wissmann Appendix Hardware: - 3 UW-SCSI-Disks - 1 U-SCSI-CDROM-Drive - 1 SCSI-CD-Roaster - 1 SCSI-Scanner Umax Astra 1220S - 1 Dawicontrol SCSI-Controller - 1 Hauppauge-Win-TV-Card - 1 Elsa Winner II Video card with Savage 4 chipset - 1 Voodoo-Add-on-Card - 1 Fritz!-ISDN-Card PCI - 1 Realtek 8029-Ethernet-Card - 1 SB64AWE soundcard - 1 internal LS120(SuperStore, a:)-Drive as master on the 1rst EIDE-Controller - 1 internal Zip-Drive as slave on the 1rst EIDE-Controller - 128 MB RAM - MSI motherboard with a Pentium III To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
