> That would definitely work, yes. If they're using tar, have them run > something like "tar cvb 128", which will give you 64k blocks on tape. Does it matter how the DTF is formatted? Or is that a hardware-level thing? I mean, should I have them set the blocksize with MT before they format the tape? Then write the tar archive with the block-size at 128?
