Dear Redmond, My favorite firewall is ipfilter. Mainly because it doesn't run in userland like ipfw does. This makes it a bit faster because it doesn't have the overhead a normal userland program has. I beleave it also has a bit more options for a normal firewall but no extra's like ipfw does. The later reason is way i also run ipfw. I use it for the traffic shaping and traffic policy only. -- Best regards, Alex The FreeBSD handbook http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/index.html To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
