 Thanks to everyone for their help -however:
 I would note that I had already set MAXUSERS=10 and now have
 it set at 24. How, as a single user, I was able to max out
 the process table before still remains a mystery... ;> 

 Is there any maximum number I can set 'MAXUSERS=' to?
