Hi, I've just put an Adaptec 2940 in my system, and I've got this problem : Normally boot from sd0. However, when I do this with this controller I just get cycled between the F1 BSD Default: F? prompt. Hitting F1 takes me back to this Default: prompt. Now, if I put the installation boot disk in A:, and at the FreeBSD Boot prompt type : sd(0,a)/kernel My system boots up fine. Could someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this? This is on my unstable machine (hopefully this new controller will fix it), but it means if the machine reboots it won't come back up properly. Thanks, Andrew ----------- Andrew Foster Sydney, Australia
