It's just the Name that don't exist. Some time ago I was told to just open the device even if there is no node listable in /dev. E.g. mount_msdosfs /dev/da2s1 /mnt This is a pre GEOM scenario, so it might have been fixed. Also the panic is a pre GEOM panic - at least for me. I wouldn't give it much time to debug before rechecking with a recent kernel.
