What exactly am I supposed to edit with gconf-editor?

I created a new user and I had the same crashes/reload with the panel
applets...

I get the following in .xsession-errors

   This looks like your gconf panel settings are not inline with what you
   have on disk.  Go through /apps/panel/applets in gconf-editor, and
   remove all of the entries listed above.

   I'm not certain this is causing your crash, but it's definitely worth
   cleaning up.
