I recieved the following error when installing a netscape plugin (FreeViewer.so) - Error: bad magic number in /usr/local/lib/netscape/plugins /freeviewer.so. Can't load /usr/local/lib/netscape/plugins/FreeViewer.so Before I could copy the .so file into that directory I had to change ownership of it. It was owned by root, so I changed it so it was owned by my login name.
