A just question! :-)

Well, let's say that my users have really no idea about what Unix is...
(and I'm not at their office every day.)
What this will be for is to make a backup every day on the external
firewire disk and then take the disk home in case of burglary or fire.
Very much like a tape backup but 20 times cheaper if you have a lot of
data. In Linux (2.4.x kernel) and Windows it's possible to simply
disconnect the drive and put it in a bag. I wanted to know if this is
possible in FreeBSD as well.

I suppose I could simply put a umount command after the backup is done
as well. But it would be more "modern" to simply disconnect it if you
know what I mean.
