Hello,

I am using FreeBSD 6.3-RELEASE #5.

I just applied freebsd-update and see that there were some patches
being downloaded:

The following files will be updated as part of updating to 6.3-RELEASE-p1:
/boot/GENERIC/kernel
/usr/src/sys/conf/newvers.sh
/usr/src/sys/kern/kern_descrip.c
/usr/src/sys/kern/uipc_syscalls.c

I have installed the updates but my question is whether these updates
mean that the system has to be rebooted?

Secondly, as there seem to be some changes to the kernel, does it mean
I have to build a new custom kernel which I currently use?

Thank you!
