Sorry to be a nuisance.

I've tried to install freebsd three times now. Each time remounting the
drive (a dedicated hard drive of its own) and reformating with dos. Then
using use entire drive, etc. I can get the installed menu up and get
myself in as add newuser. But then I cannot get a prompt.
I boot with the boot disk in the floppy drive. On one install I acutally
got boot manager to come up. But then I had no login or password to use
sustem. arrgh!

I have a serious commitment to learning UNIX but cannot get past what
seems to be very basic issues. Are there any gurus in the Washington DC
area that you know of??

thanks
