Related to my XFree86-4.0/Trident Cyberblade crashes This is really an X question, but maybe someone can answer it anyway. Is there a way I can *prevent* X from allowing me to switch to a text-mode screen with Ctrl-Alt-Fn? If I could do this then at least I'll stop inadvertantly crashing my laptop - it's just such a habit for me to switch I keep doing it (I usually do my editing with vi on text-mode screens and run Netscrape communicator under X for my mail and web). If the only way to get to a text-mode tty is to kill X, then at least I will have to do less power-cycles and fscks. I'll just have to learn to do my editing under X. -- Dr Graham Wheeler E-mail: gram@cequrux.com Director, Research and Development WWW: http://www.cequrux.com CEQURUX Technologies Phone: +27(21)423-6065 Firewalls/VPN Specialists Fax: +27(21)424-3656 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
