Its over ATM [PPPoA] - Ive not found much Googling on tweaking this
however I was reading the 3BSD section on this this page ;

http://www.psc.edu/networking/projects/tcptune/

and tried the following ;

3bsd# sysctl -w kern.ipc.maxsockbuf=3D4000000
kern.ipc.maxsockbuf: 262144 -> 4000000

Now browsing the GTK themes section www.xfce-look.org is (almost)
instantaneous whereas previously it was always a crawl !!!

Woudl apprecaite advice on any of the info on that page and how
to make (good) settings permanent :)
