The workstation using dual Opterons and the MSI K8D Master motherboard has 6 slots for RAM, taking special dual channel ECC registerd ram, and so, if you were able to obtain 2 gigabyte RAM modules, that would mean 12 Gigabytes. I am reading this straight from the motherboard manual. The motherbaord comes in server and workstation, (tower) variants.
