Hi,
I found sometime on Sunday to add some bits into the current man page of th=
e wpi_cli(8).=20

Changes I have done;
* Updated the SYNPOSIS section to reflect the command line options
* Added OPTIONS section for the description of each command line option (su=
ch as -v, -a, -G, -g, -B)* Added other supported commands into the COMMANDS=
sections. I used wpa_cli_commands[] structure contained in the /contrib/wp=
a/wpa_supplicant/wpa_cli.c file as my reference while adding new commands (=
I excluded commands that need special compile time options)

There is a .diff file I generated against the wpa_cli.8 found in the "head"=
, but not sure about the next step?=20

Shall I create a bug report and submit the diff accordingly?
Thanks in advance....

wpa_cli man page / missing command

Hi there,

As I pointerd out in this forum thread,

https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/wpa_cli-man-page.53181/#post-298766

the manual page for wpa_cli(8) does not include the definition for the "pin=
g" command. The functionality exists, and wpa_cli(8) responds the "ping" re=
quests.

/usr/src % wpa_cli ping=C2=A0=20
Selected interface 'wlan0'
PONG

Same parameter/command is well documented in some wpa_cli ports found in se=
veral gnu/linux based OS'es.

I acknowledge that wpa_cli -h | grep ping would yield the usage of ping arg=
ument, but I wonder why this is not included in the man page.

Regards
Fehmi
