It's your choice.  In fact, neither did I.. :)

I might say it is _not_ mandatory for most of you to update, because
the vendor did not update the main binary of VMware nor the core
modules, that could be considered as the main reson why they did not
bump the build number.


In any case, it goes without saying that repacking a distfile without
renaming it is something to strongly blame. :-/
