I'm sure we must be talking about a different thing, but the Bitsurfer
Pro I have (an external) works just like a modem.. plug it into a
serial port and let ijppp go wild on it :-)

I only use it with a single channel, and it performs/works admirably.
At 64K, the serial ports seems to be able to keep up just fine as well..
