	Yeah... you need a piece of software to see the tape drive first
in Windows... My opionin; as you said going to FreeBSD on that machine
first would probally be the easiest first. Seagate software for Windows is
notoriously hard to get a hold of, and once you do have it... it dosen't
always work. :(
