I don't really know what your problem is. Couple of observations, though:
Disable ARQ on both ends. I doubt you need it and it probably interferes.
Also your chat script appears overly complicated.

These two lines bother me. The return may be accepted as the login by
the remote so that by the time you send your login, the remote thinks
it's a password -- which fails and you're kicked out.
