Hello, I am trying to configure X on 3.2-RELEASE. Everytime I run startx however, the screen goes blank and I have to reboot the machine using Ctrl-Alt-Delete. This is not good. I originally installed 3.1-RELEASE and upgraded to 3.2 via cvsup. I haven't upgraded XFree86 though. I can run the XF86Setup program ok, it is just the main server which fails. My system has 2 Matrox Milleniums in it (I am only expecting one screen to display though until XFree86 4.0 arrives). If I redirect startx, after I reboot I get: XFree86 Version 3.3.4 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300) Release Date: July 13 1999 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems.
