Jordan, of course, is a masochist 8) Nonetheless, I offer a question to the
purists : how can this be done? The config.y and lang.l files are more
than a mere mortal can stand, at least in my weakened state 8)

This is needed for us to be able to handle both devices that have _no_
IO ports, and those that are sure of where to look. Doing it at this
level means that if/when some other scheme is implemented, nothing needs
to be changed at the kernel-config file level.

Also, I could grep for "auto" and find out how to add other keywords. Like,
for example "ask" 8)
