 ftp://ftp.de.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/packages/security/op
 envpn-1.3.0.tbz

i took a closer look now and it seems that -current refers to 5.0. I am sry
 this is my fault.

Still, it is kinda strange that there is no port/package for openvpn in
 FreeBSD 4.6.2.
 There is no openvpn in:
 ftp://ftp.de.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/4.6.2-RELEASE/packages/s
 ecurity/
 and not in:
 ftp://ftp.de.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/4.6.2-RELEASE/ports/port
 s.tar.gz

I used the 4.6 port which works fine now.

 Sry again for the hassle.
