Every time when I try ftp to the freebsd 4.0 box, the box always shows the following similar messages in both root console and /var/log/messages: Oct 5 01:55:32 class ftpd[796]: no modules loaded for `ftpd' service Oct 5 01:55:32 class ftpd[796]: no modules loaded for `ftpd' service Oct 5 01:55:32 class ftpd[796]: no modules loaded for `ftpd' service Oct 5 01:55:32 class ftpd[796]: auth_pam: Permission denied Oct 5 01:55:32 class ftpd[796]: auth_pam: Permission denied Oct 5 01:55:32 class ftpd[796]: auth_pam: Permission denied What's wrong and could I avoid it ? Anyone could give me some hints about how to set up my ftp service correctly ? thanks alot, Jia To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
