You could use gnuls. It's in the ports

[gunnar@pluto /usr/ports]
 2$ make search key=gnuls
Port:   gnuls-3.16
Path:   /usr/ports/misc/gnuls
Info:   FreeBSD port of colorized GNU `ls'.
Maint:  bmc@WillsCreek.COM
Index:  misc
 
or

Port:   colorls-2.2.7
Path:   /usr/ports/misc/colorls
Info:   An ls that can use color to display file attributes
Maint:  asami@FreeBSD.ORG
