This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0012_01BE6A9C.92345C20 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I've been reading through the online handbook and tried setting my box up for sound and failed. Then I installed a kernal that came with 3.0 that is suppose to support everything.. thinking I'd at least be able to see If I could get sound. Didn't work... I couldn't get it to boot, and = I'm not that familiar with kernal config's to know how to debug. I ran = linux a handful of times with a handful of dist's... and xcdplayer and such = apps seem'd to work... so I know my sound card must be compatible with *NIX OS's. It's an Aztech soundcard. Can anyone help me out.. maybe a few words of wisdom for setting up my "generic" kernal for sound? I would much appreciate it, Thanks. --Tyson ------=_NextPart_000_0012_01BE6A9C.92345C20 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.72.3110.7"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>I've been reading through the online = handbook=20 and tried setting my box</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>up for sound and failed.
