I followed his advice and use OpenJIT 1.1.10 with native JDK 1.1.8. It runs like a charm. So does the Blackdown Linux JDK 1.2.2 RC 4, without JIT, as I was unable to build OpenJIT for it. I think the volano tests should inlclude both configurations at this point, since the native JDK1.2 port is not ready yet.
