Standard term software willnot emulate a PPP connection (exept
for some new windows stuff.). To get PPP they must dial-in with a PPP
dialer. If it is DOS, you are talking about Klos's PPP stack. With
Windows 3.1x, Trumpet Winsock. With Win95, the built in PPP dialer.

  Hope this helps!
