I don't want to fan the editor wars, but there is a point to make
here: the UNIX way of doing things is to pick your favourite tool for
each task.  Integrated Development Environments are like a
self-imposed straitjacket: you put up with what you're given, although
certain components may be non-optimal.  Why would you want to do that?
