these "magic" options often fail when a control-D is at the beginning
of the PostScript file. Most (broken) DOS/Windows programs generate
such files, which then happily consume a pile of sheets dumping out
 postscript source.

Please make sure that this filter is not confused by a control-D
at the beginning of the file.
