Hi,

I'm having troubles getting MAKEDEV to cooperate with me. I already have
32 ptys, and need to add 32 more. I've created the entries in /etc/ttys
already, but when I go to /dev and do this:

shell [/dev]# sh MAKEDEV ptyq0

I get:

bad unit for pty in: ptyq0

The kernel is already set to see 64 ptys.
What am I missing here? I checked the man pages on MAKEDEV and mknod, and
didn't come up with an answer. BTW, this is FBSD 2.1.7...

Thanks,

Charles
