I tried a Hayes Accura 56KFlex back in July, I think it was?  Didn't work for 
me at all.  During the boot process, I would get an error when it went to 
probe the sio port the modem was on.  This was an internal, mind you.
(Details can be found in the archives.)

My guess was that it was a weird UART emulation.  Haven't tried and others, but
I will eventually.  Probablt I would go with the Multitech Multimodem 56K.  I've
had really good performance out of their 28.8 and 33.6 modems.

I've got an internal X2 in this machine which works very well.

This was on a 2.2.1R as well.

Give it a try!  If it works, great.  Tell me!  If it doesn't, make sure you
have a money back guarantee!
