When I type "reboot" at the command prompt, the standard shutdown procedure begins
and I can see the following messages on the screen:

Rebooting...
cpu_reset called on cpu#0
cpu_reset: Stopping other CPUs

At this point, the screen goes black, and the machine freezes. The only way to
reboot the system is to press the reset button.
