Can you send them to me in one batch, ready to commit relative to
-stable?  It would save me some time in aggregating PRs, and you
should be able to pull them out with a cvs diff on the relevant
portion of your local tree.

Understood, but since it's there already we might as well at least
make it something less than an open manhole, waiting to swallow the
unwary pedestrian. :)
