So, does that mean that I have to add 

device pcm1     at isa? port ? tty irq 10 drq 1 flags 0x0 vector pcmintr

to my kernel config file and re-compile?  

Also, I'm not sure of what to type in the kernel config to turn on that
stuff you mentioned.
