	Yeah, that's what I thought at first, no joy.

 87$ stty < /dev/tty
speed 9600 baud;
lflags: echoe echok echoke echoctl pendin
oflags: -oxtabs
cflags: cs8 -parenb
erase   intr    quit    
^H      ^\      ^C
