I am sure this has been covered previously so please forgive me. I have =
just moved over from Linux and am currently using FreeBSD-4.1. So I have =
a Novatel Merlin already to use, but need the starting guidelines in =
getting it configured to run under FreeBSD.

When I insert the card, all I get from /var/log/messages is:

Apr 17 11:04:00 valiant /kernel: pccard: card inserted, slot 1

So it would seem that the caed services doesn't automatically assign a =
serial port to the Merlin. So is there something special I have to do to =
get that assigned? From there I am assuming that it is just a matter of =
setting PPP up correctly. So is there a how to of sorts to get this =
running?
