I'm running current on my laptop and a desktop. I have been trying to
compile kde3 for a couple of days with no success. The problem seems
to remind me of a previous problem that I had with autoconf/automake
maybe when kde2 came out. Anyway I can't even get past kdelibs3.

#define HAVE_LIBPNG 1
#define HAVE_LIBJPEG 1
#define HAVE_LIBPTHREAD 1

configure: exit 1
(end of "config.log")
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kdelibs3.
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kdebase3.
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/x11/kde3.

I get the same on both machines, which isn't always true :-) They both
cvsup and build world and kernel daily.

Since I seem to be the only one with a problem, I've probably missed
something really stupid but I have a pointed hat ready and a stool in
the corner. :-) I have even upgraded everything with portupgrade -Ruai
before sending this email.

Thanks,

ed
