If the 40upgrade.tgz package was actually on the ftp site, this=20
would be much less of an issue.  Since it's not, you have to either
start hacking around or update the base system. =20

(It's clearly referenced from http://www.freebsd.org/ports, but hasn't
been present for months, if it ever was.)
