It looks like you've upgraded to perl 5.6.0.  It seems to build fine with the
RELENG_4 version:

electron [1718] % perl -v

This is perl, version 5.005_03 built for i386-freebsd


Is there any reason you *need* 5.6.0?  If not, I'd suggest you build an older
version of perl that works with this.
