I just inherited our school's FreeBSD 2.2.8 internet server last month.
Since I did so, I have had a major system crash (not software related)
that resulted in lotsa bucks being spent to bring in a consultant to get
the system set back up. This box has a tape drive in it (and FreeBSD is
recognizing it, so I assume it will work?!?!), but my predecessor, in
his infinite wisdom, has never used it. I just got a head cleaner and a
set of tapes in this morning. My question here is: what command line
should I use this first time to get a complete system back-up. I want to
back up in such a way that if I lose the entire system again, all I have
to do is a basic new install and then restore the back up. Thanks in
advance for your assistance in this matter.
