appreciated. Detailed help is very good, btw. I have gotten some very obscure answers and understand that I am a newbie in this field.

Hey since you are able to dial into to a FreeBSD box, would you
mind helping me get 1 modem connected to my FreeBSD box to
work?

Thanks,
Lanny
