That would make sense. What do you recommend I use for a term setting at
the beginning of the install?

Keep in mind, I just signed up for this list, and google didn't turn up
much info. Sorry to kick a dead horse if this has already been
addressed.

You can't use the keyboard console (yet).  You must use a serial console
to install (and use) FreeBSD.
