+----[ Mike Meyer (mwm@mired.org) dijo sobre "Re: UPSd software for APC/UPS": | | Personally, I use nut - also in the ports - instead of upsd. It deals | with a variety of different UPS's. The documentation it installs also | covers the serial cable issues pretty thoroughly. | | <mike | +----] Just a note after starting investigating nut. From the nut page: Known bug in 0.45.1 upsmon 0.45.1 by default can't create the POWERDOWNFLAG, so your shutdown scripts won't know when to turn off the UPS. More information and resources: - Further explanation on the mailing list http://lists.exploits.org/ups/Aug2001/00028.html - Patch your 0.45.1 tree http://www.exploits.org/nut/testing/0.45.2-pre/upsmon-pdflag.diff - Or just grab 0.45.2-pre1 which also has this fix applied http://www.exploits.org/nut/testing/0.45.2-pre/nut-0.45.2-pre1.tar.gz It appears that the ports tree carries nut-0.45.0 (my ports tree was updated on Sep 3rd, and the 0.45.2-pre1 was released on Aug 31st). I am cc'ing ports on this. Fernan To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
