>Description:

  Using "pkg_manage" to add a package, you go through the menus
  to pick the directory and the package, then select it to add,
  press enter ("install marked"), and then it stops with an error
  ("do you want to see the output?" yes!):

    tar: can't open archive ./xcb-2.3.tgz: No such file or directory
    tar: child returned status 1
    tar: +CONTENTS not found in archive

  Before running "pkg_manage" I entered the directory where the
  pacakges resided.

>How-To-Repeat:

  cd /usr/local/packages
  pkg_manage
  Install Packages
  <return>
  <Mark one package>
  <Install package>

>Fix:

  pkg_add
